Terms and Conditions - Artesanos Trade Program


Welcome to our Trade Partner Program! The following terms and conditions are designed specifically for our valued trade partners, supplementing our general Terms and Conditions. These provisions address the unique aspects of our partnership, focusing particularly on adjustments to our Return Policy, Trade Program Integrity & Misuse Policy, Tax Exempt Status, and Rewards Program. Please review these terms carefully to understand the benefits and responsibilities that apply to trade partners.

Trade Partner Rewards Program

As a valued trade partner, you’ll earn 3% in-store credit on every purchase (sales tax and shipping fees excluded). This credit will be added to your account 30 days after the order date and can be used toward future purchases.

How It Works:

  • Store credit will be automatically applied to your account 30 days after an order is placed. You must use the email address associated with your trade program account on all orders you wish for credits to be applied. Credits will not be added post-purchase for orders placed with alternate emails. 

  • Credit is valid for 1 year from the date of issuance.

  • Store credit has no cash value and cannot be redeemed for cash.

  • Credit can only be applied to future product purchases and cannot be used for any remaining balance on existing orders, shipping costs, return shipping fees, or taxes.

Trade Program Integrity & Misuse Policy

Artesanos Design Collection’s Trade Program is intended exclusively for industry professionals, including interior designers, architects, and other approved trade members. To maintain the integrity of this program, we strictly prohibit any misuse or abuse of trade benefits.

Prohibited Activities:

  • Sharing your trade account login or benefits with friends, family, or non-eligible individuals.

  • Purchasing items for personal use under the trade discount on behalf of non-trade customers.

  • Engaging in fraudulent activity or misrepresenting trade status.

Consequences of Misuse:

If we determine that a trade account has been misused or rewards benefits are being abused, Artesanos Design Collection reserves the right to immediately terminate the account without notice. Any earned rewards or store credit will be forfeited upon termination.

We appreciate your cooperation in maintaining the professionalism and integrity of our Trade Program.

Tax Exempt Status

If you qualify for tax-exempt purchases, we require a valid reseller’s certificate to be submitted before placing an order. Please email a copy of your certificate to customerservice@artesanosdesign.com for verification.

Our system automatically calculates and collects sales tax based on the shipping destination. If your tax-exempt status is not verified before an order is placed, sales tax will be applied.

Return & Cancellation Policy for Trade Partners

At Artesanos Design Collection, we understand that trade professionals may have unique needs when it comes to returns. While our standard return policy applies, we offer additional flexibility for our trade partners, including the option to receive store credit with certain fees deducted instead of a refund. If you need to cancel an order that has not yet been processed for shipping, please contact us as soon as possible. General Return Guidelines:

  • Trade partners may return eligible items within 30 days of delivery. All items must be in NEW and UNUSED condition.

  • Items must be returned in their original packaging whenever possible. If the original packaging is unavailable, additional return shipping fees will apply to ensure the safe transport of the item.

  • Custom-made, special-order items and items crafted-to-order  (such as American Leather products and custom copper and iron furniture) are non-returnable once shipped. If a crafted-to-order item is canceled ahead of shipping, a 50% restocking fee will be withheld from the refund.

  • Round-trip shipping charges (both outbound and return) will be deducted from the final credit amount. Due to logistical challenges, return shipping fees can be higher than outbound shipping fees.

  • All returns are subject to a 20% restocking fee (*see Store Credit exception below).

Refunds & Store Credit:

If returning an item, we can either refund your original payment method or issue a store credit. Please see the details of each option below.

  • Refund: If opting to have your refund issued back to your initial payment method, a 20% restocking fee and round-trip shipping charges will be withheld. 

  • Store Credit: If opting to have your refund issued back via. store credit, the 20% restocking fee will be waived, but round-trip shipping charges will be withheld. Please note: store credits do not expire.

If canceling an order ahead of your order shipping, we can either refund your original payment method or issue a store credit. Please see the details of each option below.

  • Please note: We consider an order shipped once it has been pulled from the warehouse and is processing through the shipping queue. We understand that plans can change, and we strive to be as accommodating as possible. However, once an order is in the process of being shipped, certain costs are incurred that we cannot recover. We appreciate your understanding.

  • Refund: If opting to have your refund issued back to your initial payment method, a 3% merchant service fee will be withheld to cover associated credit card processing fees. If an item on the order you are canceling was ‘crafted-to-order’, a 50% restocking fee will be withheld.

  • Store Credit: If opting to have your refund issued back via. store credit, the 3% merchant service fee will be waived. If an item on the order you are canceling was ‘crafted-to-order,’ a 25% restocking fee will be withheld. Please note: store credits do not expire.

How to Initiate a Return:

  • Contact us as soon as possible at customerservice@artesanosdesign.com to request a return.

  • If you need a return shipping quote, our team can provide estimated costs before proceeding.

  • Once the return is received, inspected, and approved in satisfactory condition, the applicable refund or store credit will be issued.

Shipping and Delivery for Trade Partners

If shipping orders directly to your client or receiver, you are responsible for communicating shipping and delivery expectations to your customers. This includes outlining shipping timelines, delivery methods, and receiving procedures as detailed in our sitewide Shipping and Delivery Terms. It is important that your customers understand the nature of freight shipping, curbside delivery, and the necessary steps for inspecting shipments upon arrival. Any issues with delivery must be documented with images and notes of damages on the delivery receipts at the time of receiving your delivery to ensure proper handling of claims. Shipping Conditions:

Artesanos Design Collection ships exclusively within the contiguous United States. Furniture orders are shipped from various warehousing points around the United States or directly from our store. Most in-stock furniture items ship within approximately 10 business days after an order is placed. If an item is out of stock or custom-made, we will promptly notify you via email with an approximate timeline for shipping. Shipping Options:

  • Free Shipping: Available for orders over $1500 to the contiguous U.S. (Lower 48 states & Washington D.C.). Since most furniture is too large for small parcel carriers, we use LTL carriers and specialized furniture carriers for the fastest delivery, typically between 4 - 12 business days once in transit, depending on your location. 

    • For copper and iron items shipping directly from our Artesanos warehouse, our standard freight delivery is a "curbside" service, which includes delivery to your curbside or driveway only. It does not cover service inside your home, delivery outside regular hours, or weekend delivery. We arrange for our carriers to schedule delivery appointments (usually 2 - 4 hours) between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday. These items can be shipped via. A ‘Threshold’ service at no charge if desired, but please allow for an additional 2-3 weeks for departure as the necessary carrier does not service our location weekly.

    • For furniture items shipping directly from our vendors (Four Hands, Home Trends & Design, Co.House and American Leather) our Free Shipping option is a ‘Threshold’ service. This will be delivered to the nearest dry area of your home.

  • White Glove Delivery: For $149.00, our White Glove service includes delivery into your home, assembly, placement, and removal of all packaging. For the safety of yourself, your home and your newly purchased item, Artesanos highly recommends the White Glove service for any items that exceed a weight you are comfortable carrying or too bulky to be carried alone.

  • UPS Ground: Items that meet UPS’s size and weight criteria are shipped via UPS Ground. Rates vary based on the item and delivery address, which will be provided during the checkout process.

Receiving Your Shipment:

It's crucial to inspect your shipment upon delivery. If there are any issues, they must be noted on the delivery receipt. For optimal service, please photograph the packaging before opening, regardless of its condition, as these images are necessary for any claim filings. Keep the original packaging until you have inspected your items. This is mandatory for all service levels and freight shipping.

Items Damaged During Shipping:

If your package arrives damaged (e.g., dented, torn, crushed), please note this on the driver’s delivery slip, and take photos of the damage. Please only refuse the item if it is obviously damaged beyond repair. Refusing a shipment can delay the claims process. Please reach out to us at customerservice@artesanosdesign.com with proper documentation of the damage so we can work on a resolution with you. If damage is found after the driver has left, save all packaging materials and contact us within 3 days of delivery. For visible damage, we will handle claims and send replacements at no cost. For un-noted damage, we require photos to assess and may offer a repair, replacement, or a discount depending on the extent of the damage.

Remote Location Shipping:

If you reside in a remote or more rural area, shipping timelines may be extended beyond our standard estimates. For an estimated delivery timeline, please contact us directly at customerservice@artesanosdesign.com or call us at (970) 259-5755.

Address Changes:

We can update the "Ship To" address once a shipment is in transit, but this will incur additional fees as carriers treat this as a new shipment. To avoid delays and extra fees, please verify your shipping address when placing your order. If an item is backordered, we will inform you of the delay and the new shipping date, allowing you to update the shipping address if necessary.

Customer Service Notice:

While the freight industry often faces challenges in customer service, we aim to work with carriers that provide satisfactory service to match the shopping experience you receive from Artesanos. If your delivery service was unsatisfactory, please inform us.

Product Descriptions:

Artesanos Design Collection attempts to be as accurate as possible with its product descriptions and extends as much information as possible to the user. However, Artesanos Design Collection does not guarantee that product descriptions are totally accurate, complete, reliable, current, or error-free. If a product offered by Artesanos Design Collection differs from its description, you may return it within 30 days of receipt, in accordance with the terms of our return policy stated above. If you feel the discrepancy is a defect from manufacturing, please provide documentation for review and we can work to file a claim with the supplier of the item.

Product Images:

We strive to present the most accurate color representations of the products available on the Artesanos Design Collection website. However, due to variations in computer monitors and display settings, we cannot ensure that the colors you see on your screen perfectly reflect the actual colors of the products. Please also note that an item’s color can appear different depending upon the space that it lives within. Lighting (natural and artificial), surrounding colors, decor, etc. can all affect the way an item appears. To help ensure satisfaction with your fabric selections, we recommend ordering fabric swatches before making a purchase. Additionally, images of products may appear larger or smaller than their actual size, and some product photos may be enlarged to show details. Product Materials:

We take pride in offering furniture and home decor crafted from natural materials. Due to their organic origins, variations in appearance are to be expected, making each piece truly one of a kind. These natural characteristics are part of the beauty and uniqueness of the materials used:

  • Marble: Quarried directly from the earth, marble and natural stone vary in veining, texture, and color. Whether polished, sandblasted, or hand-carved, each is valued for its unique pattern and natural beauty.

  • Top-Grain Leather: An array of markings in top-grain leather make a piece special. Natural imperfections can darken or lighten depending on the color, to dramatic effect, highlighting the unique movement and character of each individual hide.

  • Wood: Due to the natural grain and composition of wood, stain absorbs differently across the surface, which can result in variations in color and tone. This is a common characteristic of wood staining and adds to the unique aesthetic of each piece. Additionally, different parts of the tree absorb stains at varying rates. Areas with a higher concentration of growth rings tend to be less absorbent, leading to a lighter or less uniform finish. This is a natural property of wood and can be seen in many stained wood pieces.

  • Copper: Due to the nature of copper, its mineralistic properties and the processes required to achieve the artisan patinas, oxidation, and patina will vary from piece to piece. Copper will also want to oxidize and patina with time, use, and exposure to different foreign substances. Please review the ‘copper care’ section on all copper product pages.

Measurements:

Before placing your order, ensure that you have accurately measured not only the intended space for your purchase but also any paths of entry. This includes checking hallways, doorways, staircases, and tight corners to confirm the furniture can be delivered to its final location. Customers are responsible for verifying these measurements to avoid sizing issues. Orders that are canceled or refused at delivery due to size discrepancies will be subject to our return policy.

Warranty

Artesanos Design Collection warrants its furniture to be free from defects in materials and construction for a period of one year from the date of purchase. In the case of a manufacturer's defect, Artesanos Design Collection will stand by its product by either issuing a merchandise credit commensurate with the diminishment of the item's structural integrity or by repairing or exchanging the item with the same item or one of equal value. Shipping charges to repair or exchange merchandise are not covered under this warranty. The options made available to the customer will be based upon the extent of the defect and assume the item is found to be defective under normal, non-commercial household use. Minor imperfections, including small cracks, knots, surface markings as a result of shipping, and color variations in the wood are normal and are not defects. This warranty also does not cover lost or stolen items or defects caused by accidents, fire, or misuse, including but not limited to improper cleaning with harsh cleansers or detergents, neglect, abuse, alteration, or use in commercial establishments.

SITEWIDE TERMS & CONDITIONS


Welcome to www.artesanosdesign.com.  These Terms and Conditions apply to the Artesanos Design Collection website and purchase made via www.artesanosdesign.com.  Please read the terms and conditions in this Agreement carefully, as they affect your legal rights. 

Definitions

  • “We” or “us” refers to Artesanos Design Collection, its successors and assigns;

  • “You” and “your” refers to any user of Artesanos Design Collection’s website to make an online purchase of any merchandise from www.artesanosdesign.com

  • “Furniture” and “Merchandise” are defined and include any product or item sold by Artesanos Design Collections via its website, www.artesanosdesign.com.

If you use this site you are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account as well as password, and for restricting access to your computer. Likewise, the user accepts responsibility for all activities that occur under his or her account.  Artesanos Design Collection does not sell products directly to children, but it sells them to adults, who can purchase with a credit card. If you are under 18, you may use Artesanos Design Collection only with involvement of a parent or guardian. Artesanos Design Collection reserves the right to refuse service, terminate accounts, remove or edit content, or cancel orders in their sole discretion.

Payment Conditions

We accept MasterCard, Visa, American Express, and Discover. Personal checks and money orders are also accepted, but we cannot accept C.O.D. requests. If paying by personal check Artesanos Design Collection reserves the right to hold your merchandise until payment has cleared our bank.

Payment Reversals

If you cancel an order or reverse a payment after it has been shipped or received, you are responsible for the full cost of the items. Personal checks and money orders are accepted, however, in the case of personal checks we reserve the right to hold your order until payment has cleared our bank. There is a $35 fee for all returned checks.

Links to Other Sites

Artesanos Design Collection makes no representations and provides no warranties for products offered on any third party website accessed through the Artesanos Design Collection website. Any such third party site is independent from Artesanos Design Collection and is not controlled by Artesanos Design Collection. If there is a link to another website, such link does not constitute an endorsement of that site or the products or services contained therein.

Security

We care about the integrity and security of your personal information. However, we cannot guarantee that unauthorized third parties will never be able to defeat our commercially reasonable security measures or use your personal information for improper purposes. You acknowledge that you provide your personal information at your own risk.

IN NO EVENT SHALL ARTESANOS DESIGN COLLECTION, LLC, ITS AFFILIATES, AGENTS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, SUPPLIERS, OR LICENSORS BE LIABLE TO YOU FOR ANY CLAIMS, PROCEEDINGS, LIABILITIES, OBLIGATIONS, DAMAGES, LOSSES OR COSTS IN AN AMOUNT EXCEEDING THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO ARTESANOS DESIGN COLLECTION, LLC  HEREUNDER OR $100.00, WHICHEVER IS GREATER.

THIS LIMITATION OF LIABILITY SECTION APPLIES WHETHER THE ALLEGED LIABILITY IS BASED ON CONTRACT, TORT, NEGLIGENCE, STRICT LIABILITY, OR ANY OTHER BASIS, EVEN IF ARTESANOS DESIGN COLLECTION, LLC HAS BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGE.

Applicable Law and Venue

You agree that all matters relating to your access, use and/or purchase from www.artesanosdesign.com, including any dispute relating to these Terms and Conditions, are governed by the laws of the State of Colorado, without regard to conflict of law provisions. By purchasing merchandise from Artesanos Design Collection, you agree that these Terms and Conditions are entered into in the State of Colorado and will be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Colorado, without regard to conflict of law provisions.  By purchasing merchandise from www.artesanosdesign.com and agreeing to these Terms and Conditions, you consent that the exclusive forum and venue shall be the in courts of the State of Colorado located in La Plata County, Colorado, and you submit to the personal jurisdiction of that court.   In the event of any litigation arising out of the use of www.artesanosdesign.com or these Terms and Conditions, the prevailing party will be entitled to costs and attorney fees.

Entire Agreement and Severability

These Terms and Conditions, together with any amendments and any additional agreements you may enter into with us in connection with www.artesanosdesign.com, shall constitute the entire agreement between you and us concerning www.artesanosdesign.com.  None of our employees or representatives are authorized to make any modification or addition to these Terms orally and any modifications or changes must be made in writing. Any statements or comments made between you and any of our employees or representatives are expressly excluded from these Terms and will not apply to you or us or your use of our www.artesanosdesign.com. If any provision of these Terms and Conditions is deemed invalid by a court of competent jurisdiction, the invalidity of such provision shall not affect the validity of the remaining provisions of these Terms and Conditions, which shall remain in full force and effect.
